It’s been an unprecedented partnership thus far. Public, private, city and county entities have come together to support the Family Health Center’s ongoing mission of providing affordable and accessible healthcare, dental and counseling to those in need throughout the North Texas community.
To date, of the $14 million invested in constructing the Family Health Center on Virginia and covering start-up operational costs, we have been fortunate to have raised approximately $12 million.
This has put us in position to move forward on the future planning of a visionary “hub-and-spoke” model, which would feature the main McKinney facility with integrated satellite clinics positioned across Collin County in Frisco, Plano and Allen. These strategically located offices would serve more than 1.5 million people in the area, potentially within the next 10 years.
To realize such an expanded mission requires the approval of a federal charter application and, just as importantly, the ability to raise the remaining $2 million to achieve debt-free status for the Family Health Center on Virginia.
